Step 92: Next, draw a line at an angle from each side of the beard to the top of the arm for the epaulets so the lines look symmetrical. Grind just to the lines drawn on the right angle grinder.

Step 96: Grind straight across the top of the epaulets, i.e. 90 degrees to the vertical center line, just touching the outer tips of the beard.

Step 97: Grind the outside edge of each arm flat to remove excess epaulet material and so that both arms are of the same width.

Step 98: Grind a 45 degree angle from the top corner of yellow onyx to the top corner of the black jade on each epaulet.

Step 99: Epoxy the head assembly to the body assembly making sure to line up the centers of each.

Step 100: Grind a small piece of black jade into a tapered square peg that will slide into the hole in the silver belt buckle. Epoxy this plug into the tubing. Trim off excess of the black jade plug.

Step 101: Grind the front surface of the Nutcracker flat on a 180-grit lap, then sand moving on to the 600-grit (red), 1200-grit (blue) and 3000-grit (orange) laps.

Step 102: Polish the Nutcracker surface on a white poly pad using Holy Cow polishing compound.

Step 103: Grind the back surface flat and parallel to the front surface. Our piece is approx. .120" thick.

The Nutcracker is now ready for a finding! Enjoy!
