was born in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1937. He was very active in sports
playing volleyball and soccer and did extensive high altitude Mountain Climbing
in the area of the Black Sea. He earned his Masters Degree in Civil Engineering
from the St. Petersburg Institute of Civil Engineering. In 1978 he immigrated
to the U.S. and worked for a number of U.S. Engineering companies including
Bechtel and Boeing. His work with Boeing culminated in Stress engineering
analysis of Military Cargo Planes.
is married with three children and grand children. He retired in 2009 and
began his introduction to lapidary art through a Saddleback Community College
Emeritus class in Mission Viejo, California. The classes were held in the
Laguna Woods Villlage Home Owners Association lapidary shop under the tutelage
of Conrad Grundke.
