was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on October 18, 1925. In 1939 he moved to Seminole,
Texas and graduated from Seminole High School. He served for 2 ½
years in the Navy from 1943-1945 in the South Pacific aboard the USS Denver.
After the war, he went to work for Magnolia Oil, which later became Mobil
Oil, for 37 ½ years pumping oil and as a gang-lease operator.
1973-1974 he collected rocks and owned the Seminole Rock & Gem Shop.
He not only made two exquisite commessi (intarsias), but also produced custom
jewelry and was an accomplished silversmith. He retired in 1986.
