Dorothy & Ezra Webb

   Dorothy was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 28, 1915. She attended elementary, high school, and college in Providence, Rhode Island. She was graduated from Brown University in 1938 and spent two and one half years working for New England Tel. & Tel. Co. In 1941 she married George Mills and had four children. They both moved to San Diego in 1950 and then to the Los Angeles area three years later. In 1968 she moved to Arcadia where in 1979 George passed away.

   Ezra was born in Enid, Oklahoma on September 3, 1908. His family moved to Salem, Oregon where he was graduated from High School. He went on to Oregon State University and received his degree in 1930. Ezra went to New York University and received his Master's Degree in merchandising. He worked at Macy's Department Store until WWII when he enlisted in the Army. He later joined the Army Reserves. He moved to California after the war and worked as a manufacturer's representative. His wife passed away in 1979.

   Dorothy and Ezra got married in 1981, and lived in Leisure World, California. They got interested in lapidary after attending a class in Mineral Identification at Saddleback College. In 1982 they began studying intarsia under Russ Hind.
