was born on January 29, 1925. He began rockhounding in the 1950's, taking
many field trips for the Boy Scouts, in the Southern California area, looking
for fossils, petrified wood, agate, opal, and jasper. Later he developed
woodcarving and wood sculpture skills. Then he was introduced to jewelry
fabrication and metalsmithing. For the past seven years he developed lapidary
skills, which were applied to small intarsiate pieces including Native American
designs and animals.
