born on June 2, 1911 in New York City. He was graduated from high school
in 1929 and then spent two years at NYU until he transferred to Northwestern
Dental School and later got his D.D.S. from Marquette Dental School in 1935.
He moved to New Brunswick, New Jersey where he set up his dental practice.
He married Helen Salkin in 1936 and they had two children. He maintained
his practice for 52 years. During that time he was the President of the
Middlesex County Dental Society, President of the Jewish Community Center,
the Jewish Federation, BNAI Brith, and two years as the Chairman of The
United Jewish Appeal.

in 1979 and later moved to Leisure World, California in 1985. He lives on
both coasts, six months in Leisure World, New Jersey and six months in Leisure
World, California. He took up lapidary right after he moved to California
where he studied under Russ Hind. He has created several commessi (intarsias)
and also makes jewelry, sculpture, and is an accomplished oil painter.
