was born in Montana on December 7, 1926. She grew up on the family homestead
in Fairfield where she completed High School. She then moved to Burlingham,
California and lived with her sister. She worked at the San Francisco International
Airport for four years until she got married about 50 years ago. She raised
four children, one son and three daughters. Her son and one daughter currently
reside in California and her other two daughters have moved to Montana.

She has been active in creating lapidary works of art for over twenty
years as a member of the San Francisco Gem & Mineral Society. She is
also the instructor there for the making of intarsias, both miniature (for
which she is especially noted) and larger sizes. Amy passed away on November
